Review: 'My Worth' by No Last Chances

Written by: Abby Johnson

New Zealand’s No Last Chances has been hard at work in the studio. It’s been seven months since their last release, ‘Abandonment,’ and the metal-core band is back with a brand new track entitled ‘My Worth.’

‘My Worth’ is a step up from the band’s previous single, ‘Abandonment.’ Its rhythmic guitar and bass paired with djenty drums make for a perfect coupling with the dynamic vocals throughout the track. This song is a heart-wrenching telling of how mental illness can affect the way one sees themselves and how one presents themselves in relationships. Sometimes it can feel like your entire being is defined by the demons in your head, and because of this feeling, people often close themselves off in an effort to protect the ones they love.

‘My Worth’ is a beacon shining on mental health awareness and offers a candid look into the reality of living with mental illness and the effect it has on one’s sense of self-worth.
